Join us in praying for CARE's work
Ross Hendry
This week, CARE colleagues from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland gathered for a time of mutual encouragement and reflection on our work going forward.
We have two CARE residentials each year, which offer an invaluable opportunity for our team to be together for fellowship, discussions, and worship.
It felt especially good to be together again after the long period of the pandemic when, like everyone else, we were prevented from travelling and meeting.
We were thinking a lot about God's goodness to CARE over four decades, and the next chapter of CARE's work in the UK's parliaments and institutions, and public life.
In everything we do at CARE, we are grounded in prayer. We are conscious that it is the prayer of God's people and the generosity of supporters that upholds all our work.
With this in mind, we'd be very grateful if you would join us in praying for CARE's work in the coming months - we need God's guidance and provision more than ever!
Here are some prayer points for you to consider in your times of private devotion, or in your regular church meetings. Thank you in advance for blessing us in this way.
Pray with us:
- For God's wisdom and guidance as CARE's leadership team consider how we move forward into a new season, and make a difference.
- For the protection of staff - physically, emotionally, and spiritually - as they fulfill various roles in our London office, and in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
- For the necessary financial provision for our work in an increasingly challenging fiscal climate, and the cost-of-living crisis.
- For favour in the eyes of parliamentarians, the media, and other institutions as we seek to articulate a better story for UK society.
