Pray for politicians

St Anne27s Prayer event 0

This week, people across the United Kingdom went to the polls.

In Northern Ireland, a national election has taken place. The outcome will be significant, determining whether there's a power-sharing government in NI, or direct rule from Westminster.

Council elections also took place across Scotland and Wales, and many parts of England. With cost of living increases, and many other challenges at a local level, Councillors will have their work cut out.

At CARE, we believe its vital to pray for those in authority over us. We are commanded to do so by Scripture, and encouraged to do everything we can to seek the welfare of the culture around us.

Please pray

  • For stable government in Northern Ireland. And against more harmful cultural changes being forced on citizens.
  • That politicians at the local level would have wisdom as they oversee services that affect people's day-to-day lives.
  • That education policies in local authority areas would promote what is good for children and young people.
  • For action against poverty as many citizens across the UK face devastating cost of living increases.
  • For the continued proclamation of the Gospel and the work of churches in every part of the UK.
